      ( 1:09 PM ) shut up christine
sometime last year i became curious about gems & crystals
i knew nothing about them and was pretty skeptical
but i felt i needed to carry a stone in my pocket at work after i had a tachy episode-- my heart rate was in the 140s and i felt like crying and throwing up -- nothing crazy had happened so i think it was a random panic attack

my sweet friend ian gifted me my first two stones - blue apatite and rainbow amethyst
after reading up about them, they were exactly what i needed

i've been taking lots of notes on stones ever since
vibrations energies uses
who knows if it works
but i still keep the blue apatite in my scrub pocket

yesterday i went to the costa mesa gem faire & got a crap ton of rocks
this is my collection left to right, top to bottom (some of these are from a previous fair)

sage smudge stick: clearing and cleansing, correcting energy

palo santo wood: when burned the smoke is believed to have medicinal and therapeutic healing power, smells amazing like mint & coconut

singing bowl

the 2 white towers on the left are selenite: use in corners of home to create a safe and peaceful space, pulls in positivity ad circulates it, removes energy blocks

shungite: powerful protector of EMFs (electric and magnetic fields) i'll be placing the pyramid next to my TV and the smaller stones in my water cup for its water purifying qualities

moonstone: talisman of the inward journey, fertility

apache tear: relieves grief and sadness as well as assists in giving and accepting forgiveness; can help release negative emotions; brings good luck; grounding and protection

citrine: success, abundance & prosperity, personal power, shields against spite and jealousy

various tiny points

two tiny hematite pebbles: stability, grounding, protection, mental organization, heightens self-esteem

black tourmaline: talisman of protection, soothes panic attacks, wear for protection against whiners or emotional vampires. in workplace, hold for a few min when you need full concentration. shields against radiation from electronics

carnelian: motivation, endurance, leadership, good luck.  lends courage to overcome difficulties. balances body energy levels

rainbow amethyst, amethyst pendant, cluster:  reputed to control evil thoughts, increase intelligence, helps in the assimilation of new ideas, putting thought into action, brings projects to fruition. one of the most effective crystals for healing people, plants, & animals. Counteracts neg earth energies beneath buildings or anywhere that feels hostile

red tiger's eye, tiger's eye: stone of luck and fortune to attract steady flow of money to the home. protection from negative intentions of others. one of the best aids for resolving a crisis and provides support when one is afraid of making the wrong decision

blue apatite: helps w/ public speaking & enhances group communication. improves concentration & memory. hunger suppression. clears away confusion, apathy or negativity, then stimulates intellect to expand knowledge & truth

smoky quartz: relieves tension & stress or panic attacks, eliminates doubt when faced with chaos or confusion. to absorb misfortune, sorrow, or seemingly impossible obstacles, hold faceted or natural points of smokey quartz in ea hand pointed down toward ground, then consciously release negative energies for cleansing & repurposing

rose quartz: stone of heart & unconditional love. reawakens heart to its own innate love, allowing one to truly give and receive love from others. promotes bonding and is a good stone to place on the stomach during pregnancy. sleep crystal for beautiful dreams and preventing nightmares. excellent for use in trauma/crisis, comforting grief

blue lace agate: not a stone of protection but rather of encouragement and support.  its circular flowing energy calms, uplifts, and elevates

celestite: purifies the aura, brings balance to thought processes & communication. emotional protection

fluorite: absorbs neg energies and effective at auric & chakra cleansing.  can shield user from psychic manipulation. due to its powerful ability to absorb negative energies, it should be cleared often. strengthens bones & teeth, & ameliorates pain assoc w/ arthritis

aquamarine: inspires truth, trust, and letting go. helps overcome fear of speaking. emits a gentle & compassionate energy

bloodstone:  stimulates immune system. revitalizes mind and body if you are exhausted. softens bold emotions such as irritability, anger, aggressiveness

malachite:  protection stone, absorbing neg energies & pollutants from atmosphere & body. guards against radiation of all kinds. protection against accidents, assists with fear of flying

quartz cluster? not sure but i thought it was beautiful

how beautiful is this little citrine?

6:55am
as soon as i got off the elevator i saw my patient's grandson and waved to him.
i had come to know their family over the past year
his grandma passed away during the night

7:15pm
a patient pounds on the nursing station door in the middle of shift change report
crying and screaming
i ran to check what happened
she said she asked for a tissue box 5 MINUTES AGO AND NO ONE HAS COME
i turned around so she couldn't see and stuck my middle fingers up

some days i come home angry. tired.
it helps me to write it out

we see (and smell) a lot of things at work
my gag reflex is triggered by the most random things
wounds are fine
i'm usually fine with poop/diarrhea/body fluids

anywho one time i collected a poop sample and i saw a whole almond in it and my body lost it, i dry heaved for 5 minutes. stupid almonds

there was a long trail of blood on the floor in the hallway
they were like what the hell is this
a leech ran away
oh my gosh i already cannot step on snails slugs and worms
if i had stepped on that leech and if i saw/felt the blood squish under my shoe i think i would have had a seizure

in other news makoto was weed whacking the lawn when he hit a dog poop and it splattered on his upper lip
hhahahahahhaa
