Friday, October 28, 2005 ( 9:21 PM ) shut up christine The gunfire around us makes it hard to hear. But the human voice is different from other sounds. It can be heard over noises that bury everything else, even when it's not shouting, even if it's just a whisper. Even the lowest whisper can be heard over armies-- when it's telling the truth. -The Interpreter what a great quote in unrelated news, jazzercise class is FUN! our instructor makes us do all these sexy dance moves like thrusting the pelvis and grinding the hips and she says "Move your butts! Or I'll do it for you!" SO CUTE! its not everyday that i see middle-aged women rocking out to the Gorillaz have a safe halloween! p.s. The Carnaval spans over one mile of historic Route 66 in the heart of West Hollywood. Santa Monica Boulevard is closed between La Cienega and Doheny Boulevards to host over 350,000 attendees. Many will be wearing some of the most outrageous, unique Halloween costumes anywhere. In addition, four stages will feature non-stop talent, dancing and costume contests. The entire week will be filled with special events, costume contests, and, of course, the world-famous costume party on Santa Monica Boulevard Halloween night. i'm so excited! i'm making my costume as we speak! # Friday, October 21, 2005 ( 3:33 AM ) shut up christine really quick before i go to sleep... i just want to give a HUGE shout out to my sister for helping me pick out thee perfect pair of black faux-croc pumps, for patiently waiting in the dressing room while i tried on collared shirts and sweater vests, for printing my resume on premium parchment paper, for giving me a last-minute tutorial on how to use Excel, for letting me borrow the nice earrings/watch, and for all the tips i am soo bad with this kind of thing, i have no fashion sense whatsoever but now i feel like i can walk into that interview and blow them away...even if i don't get the jobs, thanks Nanet you have no idea how much i appreciate it # Tuesday, October 18, 2005 ( 1:44 PM ) shut up christine been sending out resume after resume still no luck interviews haven't been going too well i get nervous need to work on that i wish they knew how great i could be dude, i would be awesome i know i would be, or at least i'd try really hard to be # Saturday, October 15, 2005 ( 3:44 AM ) shut up christine i don't know if this is a filipino thing or what but my dad always makes beef-potato-cabbage soup and sometimes he throws in those big chunky round bones that look like donuts and inside the donut-shaped bone hole is that squishy brown cube of bone marrow do you know what i'm talking about? well i freakin love it but the thing is, that squishy brown yummness is the size of a sugar cube and usually there's only one or two of them in the whole pot and hmm there is no poetic way to say this so i'll just say it straight out Christmas is coming up y'all...i don't want any presents, i just want a spoon and a big ass bowl of bone marrow mann does anyone know what i'm talking about p.s. shut up with the fat kid jokes, haters [edit] oh crappy nevermind...i just looked up the nutritional value and its like 800 calories for 100g. bah # Sunday, October 09, 2005 ( 3:09 AM ) shut up christine my parents are getting kind of old old enough to get senior citizen discounts and in a few months my dad can start collecting social security benefits it feels like twenty years passed overnight lately i've been watching my dad cook, and not just watching, but asking questions and memorizing the recipes always good to know these types of things the other day i went to the library and i saw this old man at the check-out desk with a stack of library books and do you know what his books were about? how to use computers and the internet. HOW cute is that. we young folks take things like technology for granted and do you think your grandkids will look you up on the internet? pretentious question, but if your grandma had a blog, would you read it? to me that's one of the coolest things about the internet and public journals... even if we don't live to see our grandkids or great-grandkids, they can still get to know us in the first-person point of view in case my future grandchildren ever find this moldy old blog of mine, i have one timeless piece of advice to pass down: learn a few of your parents' recipes yo p.s. be good to your parents! p.p.s.
