crazy talk

i don't understand how it works, but i believe it

somehow, a few thousand dollars have stretched like a million

what used to not be enough, is now too much

that the more i give away, the more i have. the more i have, the more i want to give it away! and it keeps coming back, people continue to invest in me

i'm very lucky to keep company with an amazing group of 'shareholders' who continually inspire me to be a better person.

the Unattainable

all i want is for brian to grow a beard. but its not gonna happen

no what i really want is a small shady space between two trees where i can hang my hammock for a few hours
its a beautiful hammock with really soft fabric in various shades of purple with white stripes woven in, and its been sitting folded in my closet for two years

does such a place even exist in Los Angeles? and can i do so without getting fined?

Dear Christine,
I hope you must be doing fine. I just want to remind you about Goro and Vrat this time again. Virgin girls are doing fasting this days for nice life partner. We are distributing fruits and nuts to these girls. Are you going to do it again? Take care.

Regards,
Shirish

from a friend

Subject: FW: Mark your calendar

Did you know that companies in the US have said they would hire a white man with a felony record and no high school education BEFORE they would hire a black man with NO criminal record and a 4-year degree?

On July 23 at 9pm and July 24 at 9pm, CNN will premier a series, 'Black in America with Soledad O'Brien' and I personally challenge you to watch it WITH your children, especially your sons, if you have any, uninterrupted. The aforemention statistic and many others will be revealed during the series.

I had the privilege of meeting with Soledad O'Brien and actually SEEING this premier on Monday, and what I saw brought tears to my eyes and anguish, frustration, and a sense of helplessness to my soul.

On Monday the series will focus on Women and Families and Tuesday is dedicated entirely to the plight of the Black Man in America.

I beg and plead with you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE watch and internalize what you see and hear; no matter HOW disturbing the information revealed...you can (and will) thank me later.
Feel free to pass this email on or go here for more information:

encouraging words

it is difficult to stay motivated, but I think the end result will be very self benefiting and an awesome sense of an accomplishment... we've got a very positive and supportive group, and my only motivation is not to let the team or myself down... good thing is, we've got plenty of time before the marathon, so the ups and downs with our training isn't too bad... it takes a while to get into it, but once we start noticing results, I think it'll help us push that much further... Stay positive, stay focused... you will do this, we all will do this together
Akash

It is great you are still doing the elliptical. That counts as training. You still have a long time to kick in your training. You need to start getting serious about November...I know you can do it! I am nuts....the fall is a crazy time...Sept - Olympic Distance Triathlon, October Marathon bike & then 1/2 marathon run in LB, next weekend 1/2 marathon in SF, in Nov. San Antonio Rock n Roll 1/2 marathon. I am looking forward to each event as a learning experience....I try to remember....The Journey Is The Goal.
Karla

someone also sent this video to me. its very "jesus christ is your redeemer" but i found the story and images inspiring nonetheless

A son asked his father, 'Dad, will you take part in a marathon with me?' The father who, despite having a heart condition, says 'Yes.' They went on to complete the marathon together. Father and son went on to join other marathons, the father always saying 'Yes' to his son's request of going through the race together. One day, the son asked his father, 'Dad, let's join the Ironman together.' To which, his father said, 'Yes,' too. For those who don't know, Ironman is the toughest triathlon ever. The race encompasses three endurance events of a 2.4 mile (3.86 kilometers) ocean swim, followed by a 112 mile (180.2 kilometer) bike ride, and ending with a 26.2 mile (42.195 kilometer) marathon along the coast of the Big Island. Father and son went on to complete the race together.

notes and lists

If you don't give your self-respect to someone, how can they take it? The situations you seek out are a reflection of your understanding. He strokes his mustache when he thinks, which is obviously the reason why mustaches were created in the first place. Self has to believe larger things are possible in order to seek them.
