Sunday, October 09, 2005 ( 3:09 AM ) shut up christine ![]() my parents are getting kind of old old enough to get senior citizen discounts and in a few months my dad can start collecting social security benefits it feels like twenty years passed overnight lately i've been watching my dad cook, and not just watching, but asking questions and memorizing the recipes always good to know these types of things the other day i went to the library and i saw this old man at the check-out desk with a stack of library books and do you know what his books were about? how to use computers and the internet. HOW cute is that. we young folks take things like technology for granted and do you think your grandkids will look you up on the internet? pretentious question, but if your grandma had a blog, would you read it? to me that's one of the coolest things about the internet and public journals... even if we don't live to see our grandkids or great-grandkids, they can still get to know us in the first-person point of view in case my future grandchildren ever find this moldy old blog of mine, i have one timeless piece of advice to pass down: learn a few of your parents' recipes yo p.s. be good to your parents! p.p.s.
