It breaks my heart to announce that my dearly beloved goldfish, Choco and Fishflake, passed away quietly on August 4, 2002 due to an accidental overdose of fishfood administered by my little cousin Alex. Choco and Fishflake were purchased in September of 2001 at Tropical Fish Paradise. They remained my constant loyal companions during my freshman year of college. I shall never forget the countless times they selflessly stayed up all hours of the night to keep me company whilst I completed last minute homework assignments, all the while encouraging and pushing me to keep going. Never once did they complain when I forgot to feed them. Although I am deeply pained by their passing, I’m comforted that the two died in each other’s embrace, with full tummies. Choco and Fishflake, thanks for the all the memories...I love you and I’ll miss you.
