today was one of those days
i came out of a night shift, went home to take a shower, spent 12 hours at school, then went straight to the next night shift which brings me here. i am exhausted but i wanted to mark this occasion
during the break before my last class i walked to a small empty coffee shop
the old man working at the counter mentioned that i looked really tired, and when i ordered a cup of coffee he didn't let me pay
and then he brought me a muffin, to give me energy to get through my class, he said.
so much kindness.
i will remember this whenever i'm having another one of those days, which will probably happen regularly for the next few months
what he did for me today is what's going to get me through it
