in a nutshell
my first day of clinicals was absolutely amazing
2:30am - stay up way too late reviewing notes and watching youtube videos on wound care
5:20 - out the door and on my bicycle
6:30 - shift begins
i immediately clicked with a staff member who took me under her wing. she even took on an extra shift the next day so that she could be with us again
i will be forever grateful to my 1st patient, who was so kind and.....patient.
i looked everywhere for his glasses so i could clean them
after a couple minutes my staff member says "they're on his face"
oops hahahha. doh
4:15pm home sweet home. repeat
and as far as boyfriends go, m is totally boss.
he lets me practice procedures on him. but like 20 times
one evening i mentioned that i needed to buy some drug reference cards at borders, but the closest store is back in westwood
homeboy picks them up in torrance and delivers to my door. then cooks me dinner. then leaves me alone so i can concentrate on writing my care plan
i love him. no, like, i really love him
being silly and showing off his guns as i practice taking his blood pressure
& look at his farmer tan! adorable
