Cats know how to chill...I have one chilling against my leg as I type this, although she seems a little miffed at the sound the keys are making. I just got meowed at, but it was a friendly meow (meaning it didn't lead to any actions which might cause my skin to be broken) and so I'm mostly talking to Shmoopy, who's now wide awake and wagging her tail. At this point anything might happen; Shmoop can chill with the best but she can un-chill in a hurry too...now she's sleeping (and yes, this is all happening at the speed it takes me to type this; I'm not fast but I'm not glacier-slow) or "resting her eyes" and her tail flicks every time I say her name.
Cats have it going on, in other words. As do you, C. Next weekend is less than 200 hours away. Consider it 400 crappy sitcoms away, and be thankful you don't have to watch them. :) There's no way to make it easier but just remember: you are on the doorstep. You've done the work and walked the walk and you are on the doorstep...and your knocking hand is already way into its swing. You're there, my friend; the sound of the knock is just a formality. I'm sure of it. :D
