( 9:14 PM ) shut up christine
makoto has a faint nuance to his voice, almost like an accent
(he was born & raised in the us & english is his first language)
tangent--
when we were just beginning to get to know each other, we were talking about netflix and he pronounced queue as "kwee"
as soon as he said it, at that moment i knew i wanted to be with him :)
kweeeee
anyway
i love hearing him speak in japanese to his parents
it's very soft, very respectful and polite. sounds as if he is bowing with his words
i asked him to teach me japanese phrases
syllable by syllable he taught me these words:
"mako don arada"
beautiful! i would repeat over and over. when i had mastered the pronunciation we moved onto the next phrase
"buru gu kin gu"
*repeat repeat repeat*
"wenaru shi ni taru"
*practice practice*
we put all the phrases together -- "mako don arada buru gu kin gu wenaru shi ni taru"
okay tell me what it means!!
mcdonalds. burger king. wienerschnitzel.

*shakes fist at makoto*
