we came upon gashapon/gachapon (capsule toy vending machines) on the 4th floor of the kyoto yodobashi department store
there were video games in this area as well that dispensed collector cards, i think. kids carried binders of all the cards they had won. interestingly, a lot of the people playing these video games were older japanese businessmen
there was one game that had a particularly long line and we watched one businessman play then stand in line again....he was still playing when we checked an hour later!
anywho gashapon in japan are amazeballs. here are a few
sleepy cats
city vermin with trash
banana birds
kittens drinking from bottles
Gudetama the lazy egg is a popular sanrio character. "gude" describes something or someone with no energy or strength, and “tama” comes from the word tamago, meaning egg
peeing dogs
cellphone bathrobes
sushi cats
cute bald man
hot dog creatures
