we have another month at our place but we've started moving things out, little by little
i was cleaning out my closet and found my old shoes
makoto really wants me to keep them but i haven't worn them in forever
and also they probably still have a little pee in them
we have so much attachment to things
as if throwing away a memento somehow erases our memory
as if i need to see these shoes to remember where i've walked
when i finally understood this, letting go got a lot easier
(and i have a lot to let go!)
